Belinda Harrison Award

Jassmyne Lloyd received the 2025 Belinda Harrison Award at the Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference. The two runners up were Asia Suber and Nicole Richardson and Tamika Gallimore received honorable mention.

Our 2025 Winner

Jassmyne Lloyd, a hardworking single mother of three sons; a true example of empowerment, resilience and determination. She works full time as a CNA supporitng the senior community, a passion her hers is to do more for them.

Besides school and work, she is also focusing on managing her money better, and spending quality time with her boys to be sure that she is covering her familiy’s priorities and needs. Jassmyne even carves out some time to actively participate in the Booster Clubs for her sons’ sports programs.

She has demonstrated her growth with her financial independence, her passion about helping the senior community , and her strength in trying to juggle her many roles all at once. And she continues to grow. Jazzmyne attended school full time where she acheived her Associates degree in nursing (LPN) in June 2025.

In memory of the late Belinda R. Harrison, the Chester County Community Collaborative annually presents the Belinda R. Harrison Award. Belinda Harrison, a single mother who worked tirelessly for years in Chester County’s social services and in her community, dedicated her life to empowering women and the underserved.

This award is given to a single mother residing in Chester County. The winner and two runners up should be nominated by members of their community. They share many of the same traits as the award’s namesake:

  • a single mother residing in Chester County
  • working full time
  • who has overcome adversity
  • is active in her community
  • is selfless, kind and promotes strong family unity.
