Do you know an outstanding single mother?
The Chester County Single Mothers’ Conference is seeking nominations for the Belinda R. Harrison Award. Belinda Harrison, a single mother who worked tirelessly for years in Chester County’s social services and in her community, dedicating her life to empowering women and the underserved.
This award will be given to a single mother residing in Chester County.
The nominee should meet the following criteria:
• be a single mother
• working full time
• living in Chester County
• has overcome adversity
• active in her community
• selfless, kind, and promotes strong family unity.
The theme for 2023 is “Building Momentum,” reflecting the progress we, as individuals and as a community, have made overcoming various challenges while recognizing the need to continue building strong single moms through togetherness, engagement, and education.

Ms. Andrea Howell
The Belinda Harrison Award is given each year to an outstanding single mom in our community.
Andrea is a single mother of two children. She works full-time while also being a full-time student at West Chester University. She recently became a first-time homeowner! Andrea exemplifies resilience, overcoming numerous challenges and coming out stronger on the other side of them. She is involved in her community, volunteering with “Shop with a Cop” during the holidays. She also volunteers with children experiencing homelessness and addiction in Chester County. We salute and honor Andrea Howell, your 2020 Belinda Harrison Award Winner!
